Insulated seven chiller connections (shown in photo) and seven chilled water pump connections with fiberglass pipe-covering. Each of the seven chilled water pumps were encased in removable pump boxes individually crafted with aluminum framing and 1" thick rubber insulation which allowed for future maintenance of pumps.
Anglesey provided and installed insulation on 62 risers (dual temperature supply and return), over 400 fan coil unit connections, and new main piping throughout the building during a complete riser replacement project at the Americana Centre Condominium complex located in Rockville, MD.
Two brand new chillers were installed on site without insulation. Our team insulated the entire bodies of both chillers (evaporator barrel, condenser barrel, chiller heads) with 1" thick sheet rubber, as well as over 1,000' of associated new chilled water piping.
Our team installed 2" thick fiberglass board on rooftop ductwork with Venture Clad weatherproof jacketing to protect the insulation from the outdoor elements. The tops of flat ductwork were insulated with a pitch to prevent pooling of water which will cause damage over time.
Three new heat exchangers and associated piping were installed at American University Anderson Hall. Our team installed fiberglass insulation on all piping associated with the connection of new heat exchangers to the mains. All valves were insulated with sheet rubber due to tight spacing close to the HX boxes and for a uniform look.
